Hips harvested in August (sometimes the end of July) until October. Collect mature fruit not damaged by disease. Encouraged to collect the fruits before full maturity, when they were still solid, but have bright red or orange color. Totally mature fruit harvested by hand, carefully, as they are easy to crush, and then during drying, they quickly deteriorate. When gathering the fruit is recommended for protection against thorns to wear gloves or mittens, canvas, and for the folding of the collected raw materials – thick aprons with big pockets in front. With an average yield of the adult collector for the 7-hour day can collect 8-20 kg of fruit and at high yield (more than 1 t / ha) in the thickets of large forms of wild rose, to 34 kg.
